Introduction:

We are a fun, dynamic and inclusive club running a national award winning programme for children from U6 to U17.

All sessions are run by ECB accredited, DBS checked, and First Aid qualified coaches, and are overseen by our Director of Cricket. We cater for cricketers of all ages and abilities if they want to play - even those as young as 3!

We run a year-round programme of activities for children including training, matches, tournaments and holiday camps. We enter teams into local MJCA leagues, and promote transition into our Senior Teams, giving players the skills and confidence to play at this level. We feed into East London Boroughs and the Middlesex County Age Group pathways.

We are family-friendly, and encourage everyone to stay and enjoy the atmosphere at the club. We host fundraising BBQs throughout the summer, have a great Thai Kitchen on site, and encourage everyone to come and relax together at weekends while supporting our Senior Teams. Our bar / cafe is open throughout the week.

Spring Term Training Sessions:

Junior Spring Training is currently running at Broomfield School, Wilmer Way, Arnos Grove, N14 7HY on Monday evenings, with slots for each age group from 17:30 - 21:00.

Please contact us if you would like more information, to express interest, or if you have any queries.

Summer Term Junior Membership & Taster Sessions:

Junior Membership is available for the Summer Season! Please contact us to discuss the best training group / day for your child - we are happy to offer taster sessions if you’d like.

Our mixed and girls sides will form part of a training schedule each week. Details will be shared once membership has been purchased. Match opportunities are provided in the MJCA Leagues, Seaxe Girls League and Senior Teams if appropriate.

All sessions aim to develop core fundamentals of batting, bowling, fielding and keeping with soft & hard balls. Full cricket kit, including appropriate protective equipment is desirable but not essential for these sessions. If you have any queries, please contact us and we can clarify.

Holiday Camps:

Our popular Holiday Camps run during school holidays, and are open to all. Please book early to avoid disappointment!

These camps are led by our coaches and include a balance of games and drills to improve all aspects of the game. We focus on individual skills in the mornings, and try out skills in the afternoon through game-based practice or in the nets. Contact us for specific booking links for each week, and feel free to spread the word!

Junior Coaching Team:

All our coaches are ECB qualified, First Aid Trained and DBS-checked.

All coaches / staff are trained in, and aware of, their Safeguarding roles and responsibilities and ensure a safe and inclusive environment for children to have fun and develop their cricket. Please see our Policies & Safeguarding page for more details, and contact our Safeguarding Officers if required.

Junior Kit:

Highgate CC Junior Kit is available to buy from our online shop. Please note that all cricket equipment should be in good condition for safety reasons, especially helmets. Please see the safety information published by the ECB with regards to helmets and safety in general.

If you have any questions about kit or clothing requirements for Junior cricket, please contact us.
